I will also put this in vetinary but you guys all are so knowledgable/experienced and would appreciate your opinions.
My horse mildly sprained his fore suspensory ligament at the end of june. He had two months box rest with shockwave treatment. The scan at the end of August show it had healed but there were still some thickened fibres??? Anyway we started walking out building up from 10 mins to 40mins, which is where we currently are. (All on a flat road)
I know I could be getting ahead of myself but wanted to know your thoughts. We were going to do another month of walking building up to an hour + and at the beginning of November introduced 5min trot works. At the end of this month we are going to get it scanned again before starting work on a surface in walk on trot and obviously continuing the road work.
In January we are planning to start canter work on a gallop and if all goes well jumping in Feb.....does this sound right or should we be taking longer anywhere. I know it is hard to give an opinion when you don't know the horse/injury.
Thank you!!!!
