Reversing cameras

Im about to fit a reversing camera to my lorry, where is the best place to position this? I wouldve thought next to and around approx to the reversing lights but the guy it has come from says at the top of the ramp? Not sure Im willing to cut a hole there, seems a bit odd, where have you guys had yours fitted? Thanks

It depends on the type, but it should go high up, so you can tilt it down. gives you a much better view and prespective on distance.

Most people have them fitted high up on the bit over the ramp it would work lower down
but as the op said you get a better view with them at hight

Scuse my ignorance as I am not technical in the slightest, but I am logical.
Could you not wire the camera up then site it to where you get the best view.

Please note we had a car with reversing cameras fitted, I was so busy watching the camera, I nearly crashed a few times, a sound sensor suits me better
