jst bought one. it doesnt seem very deep on my pony and only jst comes to the bottom of his belly. another horse at our yard has an identical one and it is perfect on him! my pony isnt a fatty, but are these rugs generally a bit short in the depth? also, what is the ideal of the cross straps feeding thru the rug rather than going over the rug and holding it down?

Iv had rhinegold rugs before and I always go up a size as they are small/tight fitting.

I have a Rhinegold and its 6 ft 3 fits great.Maybe you need a bigger size.

hmmm, well my choice of 5ft 6 was out of stock, 5 9 would drown him so bought a 5 3. his other rugs vary between 5 6 and 5 3. i guess it depends on make. it fits lovely apart from being a bit short, but he is pretty fuzzy so i'm sure he will be fine. jst me worrying! cant really send it back now as he's wearing it tonight
