Piaffe do you have turnouts....do they leak?

Im thinking that maybe I should go for a cheapish NZ for Jacks first time wearing rugs....if it gets trashed its not quite so painful.

Some arn't that bad - we used one on the one of the working liveries at yard who was out 24/7 - think he came in wet once, possibly twice but that was after torrential weather as it were.

So yeah good, but price reflects how long they last/overall quality

I bought a cheap rhinegold rug of ebay last year £19.99 plus postage it was a heavy weight with full neck it lasted the whole winter 24/7 turn out(the odd night in) never leaked it was cheap because the neck attachments were slightly to far up the neck but it didn't effect my horse at all.
Its now cleaned and ready for the next winter,so bargains to be had for sure.

don't bother!! all my experiences of them have been bad, they rubbed, didn't fit properly, the cut around the neck being very strange, and didn't last long......

Their stable rug combo (think its the Kentucky one - the one with one colour on the bottom, another shade on top half) is excellent. It has lasted me the last 2 years and still looks brand new! Its so cosy and never rubbed, it also fits everything I put it on!

Dont know about their turnout rugs though.

I used them all last winter for 24/7 turnout and they seemed to do very well. I had two as sometimes by the end of a wet few days they were very muddy and in need of a dry. I have washed them and sprayed them with reproofer this summer so I will see how they are in their second winter. They were quite cheap (about £69 for a heavyweight full neck turnout)

I bought the combos for my 4. The plastic clips dont last well and the cut is in the small size so 6/6 horse are in 6/9 rugs and these are still tight). They did rub but the only rugs that dont are the seamless Wugs (IMHO). They didnt leak though.

I didnt however find them rip stop!!! The horse nips broke the fabric over and over again. But darning the holes seemed to work and despite replacing clips, they seemed to last the season.
