rhino/rambo v fal

I've got both Rhino and Fal and although a bit pricey I also prefer Fal (you get what you pay for) the Rhino I have decided to sell, although I used it for two winters and it is a good rug I just found it not quite deep enough for a long legged TB and it rubbed her mane both winters.

Fal are brilliant, never had any rubs or leaks, they self right after a roll, last forever, and keep them so snuggly too!
They seem to fit all shapes and sizes too - my natives, cobs, Hannoverian X - well worth the money.

About 6 or 7 yrs ago when I first bought my horse I bought FAL rugs for him. However, I then bought a rhino heavyweight turnout which I loved, and since then I have been completely converted to horseware ireland rugs. My horse's wardrobe is pretty much made up of them. I prefer the h/weight rhino because it is lovely and warm, hard wearing but much lighter and less cumbersome than the FAL h/wghts I had. My horse used to pull faces when I put the FAL h/wgts on infact.
And as for some people saying that horseware are not good for chunkier horses, well my horse is pretty chunky and I have no probs with the fit.

Ditto! Absolutely love them, fantastic rugs. Worth every penny IMHO.

Trying to squeeze my 13.2hh Welsh B Arab into a rambo or Rhino rug (she's a 5 foot 3) is something of a challenge

, I've brought her a fal viking which fits really well and is extremely hard wearing.
