i have brought a rhino wug lite today, tryed it on my pony who is always fits a 5ft 9" rug. the rug did fit him very well apart from when i went to do up the belly straps (surcingles) and they didnt reach anywhere near the buckles on the loosest part of the buckle thing. i rang the saddlery and they said to take it into show them, they think it sounds like a manufacturers fault.
his other surcingles fit him fine, i never have to loosen the strap to even half of the surcingle. my pony isnt particularly overweight either.

has anyone else had any problems with theis rug???

thanks.

Never with the surcingles, but I don't like any of Rambo's wugs - the front clips bug the heck out of me and they always seem to appear to envelope the horses shoulders.....and I dislike the wug part, seems to push their necks down. I have 4 Wugs which I bought all at the same time. The latest Rambo's I have gone back to all been traditional rambo styles that I used to buy, and I've had no problems with them at all.

Yep - I have the same problem with mine - but havent got round to doing anything about it. Was going to get them extended when it gets washed at the end of the winter. I've got a 2 year old - again not too porky at all - in a 5'9 Wug Plus and they only just reach at the longest! Let me know what you find cause I really ought to email the manufacturers

I have the same problem with mine - my horse has a bit of a naturally over-large belly, and both the 6'6" Rhino that I tried on her, and the 6'9" that I ended up with, were very short in the surcingles. They are on the very end and just about reach! Good job it's a heavyweight rug, I'd never get in over a grass belly in summer!
