Just seen that the boy on trial for killing Rhys has been found guilty. Of course he was an arrogant gang member who thought firing off a gun was a big and tough thing to do. As soon as he was in trouble he ran like a coward and did his utmost to hide his crime.

Poor Rhys and his family, I am glad they have a guilty verdict, but wonder what lenient sentence his murderer is bound to be given now.

So glad this has finally come to an end (I hope!) and he gets the sentence he deserves. The father of a friend of mine was defending Sean Mercer, god knows what that must have been like for him. I cant even begin to understand how hard this must have been for rhys' family and friends. With it being relatively close to where I live, its always on peoples minds and everyone is disgusted on how anyone could ever do this.
I hope he ends up locked up for life, its no less than he deserves.

well, I am somewhat amazed given the ludicrous sentences we see today. He has been jailed for life with an order to serve a minimum of 22 years. I myself believe that life should be just that, no parole ever..but at least at 22 years he will have missed a huge chunk of his life - Rhys has lost all of his and his parents live with the pain every single day.
