Afternoon you lovely Rice trailer owning people,

I have recently purchased an OLD Rice Beaufort Double (was sold to me as a Popular for a very cheap price - result!)

It does not have any weight information on it at all, except that the unladen weight is 900ish KG (914 I think). After speaking to a few experts, apparently it was one made for the US market, as it has 15" wheels on it (again result!).

Spoken to Rice Richardson who have managed to find a brochure for the trailer and from this they managed to give me the laden weight. Horray!

The trailer doesn't have any chassis plates on it (other than a sticker that says the unladen weight), so I want to buy some blank plates and get them stamped.

All the twin axle plates want 4 pieces of info, unladen and laden (which I now have) and then Axel 1 and Axel 2.....

So my question, does anyone out there with an old Beaufort Double that has an unladen weight of 914kg, happen to have the chassis plate still on their box and if so, can you give me all the details please ;)

I know that the axle weights aren't (apparently) that important, but as I'm going to the effort to put a new plate on, it would be nice for it to be complete!

Another question, do you legally have to have a chassis plate stating the weights on your trailer?

TIA
