I've been having a read of his blog http://horsehero.com...g?CelebId=35757 & it really struck a chord with me this time - especially the bit about being consistent about good behaviour all the time. I'm normally pretty good around stallions but with the others I tend to get a bit too laid back - which is probably why I got kicked in the head by Podge 10 days ago!

He's right. You have to insist on it. We have fifty horses here mostly living in large groups. To be in the middle of twenty misbehaving horses would be suicide. (We also have three stallions within the groups).
 
Much better now thanks but scary to think how serious it could have been - he's wearing an eskadron control headcollar to turn in/out & I have a riding hat on!
