I have decided that Equitrek's problems have put me off purchasing one. I still like Ifor's but what about Richardson Trailers?

They are reasonably priced and I havent heard anything bad about them, I like the Supreme Advance so if anyone has any experience with them let me know!

I have richardson had it for 11 years now and it was three years old when I bought it.
Works everytime never let me down and cost me £500 in maintenance over that time which includes a new floor a few years back.
Love the fact that the front unload ramp is on the off side so you don't have unload into the road either.
Best bit of horsey kit I ever bought.

I have had 2 over the last 10 years ,as first was stolen .Ideal to tow even with 2 x 17hns in the back I have never had a horse have a bad trip in one. I hire mine out so it gets a fair bit of work, 100%, would buy another every time.

I've got the Supreme III - really spacious, loads of head room, easy to get big horses round the corner to front unload, as as said ^^^ front ramp is on the left side so much safer and more practical than the IW. Floor has a lifetime guarantee, and the non slip rubber on the ramps is much better than that horrible slippy carpet on the IWs. And it has a proper door handle on the grooms door so you don't inadvertently get shut in (unlike those stoopid latch things that you can only do from the outside). Tows well and the horses seem to load easily into it. Love it :D

Is it me as I seem to always have tales of doom and gloom :(:(
I bought one a few years back, it was the Ultra (I think) and it was a dream to tow, much smoother than the IW that it was replacing. My horse isnt good in a trailer and although he will load, he flies out at speed backwards and he actually bent the back ramp!! He wasnt totally pratting arround, just running out backwards. I do think they are a much better trailer, design wise, loads of room but I dont think they are as substantial.
Sorry

Love my supreme 2x17.2 one, loads of space, big payload and slightly lighter than the IW alternative! tows brill, ramp on the correct side for UK oh and you can open the grooms door from the inside, what a good idea!!!!! Can't believe IW don't have this small feature!!!

We tow one with a Subaru Forester with one horse. Tows really well - horse seems to love it and loads really well. Again prefer ramp on near side. Bought ours second hand but everything works well a few years on.
