The breeder of my friends mare has said she is ex of their 3/4 TB Pollyanna by RID stallion Listenor Green. As the mare is 16 the chances are he is deceased. The problem is there seems to be no record of him. I will never understand why anyone bothers to breed an animal & then not bother to reg it. I wondered if anyone here remembers a stallion of that name.

He may have been 'birth notified' as a foal - but he's not an RID stallion. That 'title' is reserved for stallions that are graded (and vetted). Those that aren't presented - or who fail - are just ID stallions (although these days they ARE in the stud book as G2ID or G3ID stallions.) Foals by non-RID stallions can not EVER be graded RID - although there is a grading-up process for mares.
