When showing a Welsh section D at local level, would you be likely to be marked down for riding in a hanging cheek rather than a Pelham? I feel my mare is happier in a hanging cheek but don’t want to be incorrectly turned out ?

I thought that the rules used to be a snaffle was acceptable for a novice, but that may have changed - check the wpcs rule book.
Anyways, if you are likely to get a better show with a snaffle I'd most likely go for it - a good moving Sec D is a typey Sec D ;)
