Ridden walking excercise

Help can anyone give me some ideas as to how to sex up walking a horse round a school for 40 minutes! My boy has just had laminitis and has now got to walk in an arena for 20 mins gradually increasing to 40 mins over the next month. No leg yielding allowed only 20 mt circles and serpentines. Anything would be appreciated

flexing both ways, counterbending, sending on and bringing back, halt walk halt transitions if allowed, rein backs if allowed, suppling through serpentines, working him with neck in different positions - long and low, deep, up, long rein but on a contact, loose rein.
