does anyone use it and what sort of consistency should it be when you feed it after adding the water?

I always add water, as it says in the instructions, but I make it damp only, some people seem to soak it till it turns mushy, I don't think that's necessary.

I just add a load of water just before feeding, like you would milk to cereal!!

i soak it as i prefer all of my horses to eat very wet feeds as more digestable for them

Don't understand why you would soak a mix. My friend feeds hers damp as adds soaked sugarbeet.

I always add water just to dampen any feed too, worry about choke but then I usually feed Hi Fi too. I thought Ride n Relax looks was the answer to my prayers but the sod wouldnt touch it!

Because it is "dry" fibre otherwise, and the little pellets in it are more easily digested if they have been soaked and absorbed water, so they wont "swell" in ponies belly!!

thanx guys but that doesnt really help me, have been adding enough water to make it mushy and adding fibergy and alfabeet so it ends up like brown mush with bits in he seems to love it so i think i will stick to that
