They sell pretty good if overpriced horses, some are a little better than the average, some are minging.
He has a lot of stock so you can try a lot on the same day.
Of course, lets ignore him taking my friends pony in part ex and selling it on with a new passport shall we..
Yes bought in August, very pleased indeed with our mare. I did go with very experienced friend who used to deal herself in a fairly big way - so no flies on her! We tried her, she was totally as described and bought her that weekend. Rather more backward than I appreciated and obviously produced to sell, but very good buy. Would only go with someone who really knows their stuff. Found out later another friend purchased from them and also very pleased. Had full vetting and tried her twice, and also hacked out - they did think I was a bit of a pain but tough! Hope that helps.
Very friendly, overpriced (IMO) but nice, vettings no problem, trying out no problems etc, friend got nice horse and is still pleased with him. No personal horror stories.
gosh really! a lady from our RC has just got a connemara for her daughter from them and although v.green he's stunning, think they paid a small fortune for him though, but i was going to def keep them in mind if i ever had to get a horse again. can some of you p.m me as the horses on their are def what i'de be looking for or not if what your saying is accurate
Two of my riding school clients have bought horses from Ride Irish and both dissatisfied with their purchases and have had to move the horses on and make a substantial loss. In one case the purchaser had to get her own passport for a very expensive eight year old. Maybe there was a genuine reason for the horses's loss of identity but it amazes me what dealers can ask for horses with no breeding details or competition record.
I think passports can be a bit of an issue.... and they will charge as much as you hint you may pay.... but the horse I know that came from there was a sweetie.
