Has anyone ever bought a horse from these people? Are their descriptions fairly accurate? What are they like as dealers?

I'm just being nosey.. as I'm in love... but I know I can't afford their horses (even if their prices aren't listed!)...but they are lovely and they seem to get some really nice, happy healthy looking horses through.. Is this just an illusion?

I emailed them a few months ago asking for some more information about a couple of horses they had for sale.
I never got a reply which I consider to be fairly rude. If the horses had sold fair enough - but why not tell me that, not just ignore the email. I appreciate some people do not like using email, but if so a) why put your email address on your website, you could just put your phone number and b) some people have emailed me back to ask if I can ring them for the information to make sure my enquiry is genuine which I am more than happy to do - it is just more convienient to email hence why if there is an email address I use that. Sorry I can't help you with any other questions, I'm sure others will be of more use.
 
It has just proved to me that i really like Irish horses because i love them all, i really like the composer but i am a sucker for a dark bay/ black.

Actually, I might settle for the little dun at the top! Shame there are not any prices though!
 
Having seen press ads of theirs, I do know that the horses aren't cheap (and sometimes also carry the tag line that prices are not negotiable

I emailed about one and they responded about 4 days later, and gave me the price which I thought was massively overpriced for what it was.
 
I absolutely adore their horses, I'm another that sits staring at them for ages wishing I could afford them!

I emailed them about a month ago whilst making it perfectly clear I was not in a position to buy a horse just yet but was enquiring about average prices and they emailed back the next day and said I'd need around 6-7k..

They're nice, but they're not worth that much!!

You'd think in the current financial climate that they'd drop their prices a little. I'm surprised they get much business with prices like that. I'd expect something showing at a high level with fantastic breeding for that price and as far as I can tell, they've not really done that much..

Don't go there...a friend bought one and it was very much not as described and it took her a year to get them to take it back.

Her previous owners bought her from them. Shes a lovely Irish coloured mare. Great temperament. I've emailed them a couple times and got a response within 5days I think. There has been a few people asking about them and its been a mixed review. Some people have said dont go there but never explained why. I think Clodagh is the first to explain her reasons actually.

Their horses look gorgeous though! I like Ace.
 
They are really nice horses, but i wondered how much, 6-7k hmm that is alot imo.

I was looking as might be moving on later this year, but at the price the horse wont be from there!

He is lovely!
 
ARRRGGGGH (excuse the shouting)....... Another dealer advertising an overheight connemara as a potential M&M prospect. If they exceed the breed standard of 148cm (14.2) you can't compete in affiliated showing classes as a connie. (leaps off high horse - no pun intended)..

Agree about Tommy - very nice!
 
I love The Real Dun Deal but as he's a Class A connie thought he's bound to be about £6K. So emailed them about Dundrum (next best thing I thought), they emailed back same day, friendly email, saying he was £4.5K.
 
wow they do look like nice horses to me! i really like Ace and Gemini....what is nice is that they aren't all skin and bone like a lot of dealers....i think when you ask about dealers there are ALWAYS going to be mixed reviews- not every horse can turn out to be amazing and there are some buyers who ruin nice horses in a very short space of time and then there are some genuinely dodgy dealers! i'd say go with your eyes open and have a vetting...yes they sound overpriced but then a lot of dealers are, its how they make money at the end of the day!
