Ride on Fly Rugs

Does anyone have any of the fly rugs that you can ride in, I've been looking to get one as my horse can get really irritated by them but not sure how effective they'd be especailly as they dont cover the belly and worry that a fly may get inside it and end up causing more problems
Any thoughts/ experiences?

I've got the Mark Todd one for my over sensitive flower, the fact that it keeps them off the bulk of his body makes it easier for him to deal with the ones that land on the bits that are still exposed. I've never had one get inside it. I can't hack out without it on once the awful horse flies are out and about as he just can't cope with them.
