I ordered from Rideaway online on sunday evening. Now they say 3-5 working days for delivery. So, I wait and wait and nothing. I know today is the 5th working day but a combination of being bored stiff in the office and childish impatience led me to call them

!!! They said they were busy on Tuesday

and that knocked everything out of place.
This really is a pointless post but felt the need to share!
Has anyone else had this problem with them? Or shall I give them the benefit of the doubt that its a one-off

I waited a month for a coat from another very large mail order retailer, when their quoted delivery dates (a relatively new feature of their website) said 2-5 working days. 25 working days later...
They can all have their useless moments and their helpful moments, I don't think an extra day is anything much to complain about though!
 
I know but I wanted the stuff for XC this weekend! Plus if it leaves today she said that it probably won't be here will wednesday.

I know I'm moaning!

Hang in there, I think its a one off, I've dealt with them for years and years and never had a prob, however, saying they were "busy on tuesday" is a poor excuse, as all customers orders should be treated with the same priority, not good PR skills on the telehonists side, bit tactless.

seem to have a lot of new staff in there. I drove there a fortnight ago, spent over a hundred quid and the girl on the till never spoke a word to me, busy chatting away to her colleague on the next till. I was a tad annoyed.
Ive shopped there for years and always been polite and helpful, but the last twice its been lots of new staff in and 'cant be a****d to help you attitude'
 
Thats what annoyed me the most really, I got no apology at all

I ordered Thursday last week and parcel arrived this Wednesday. I've always found them to be pretty good.

Ain't that the truth! I have used 4dobbin.com many times an have always been very impressed with their service until my most recent order. The goods when I got them were fine, but the service was chaotic and dire. It took so many emails and calls to sort and they didn't call me back when they said they would. The finale was having another persons invoice in the parcel when it arrived instead of my own

Despite that shambles associated with this order, given that it was the first time they have given me a problem, I will probably place a future order with them. That said I will ring them first to establish stock levels!

I have never had a problem with Rideaway though!
 
Waiting for a new hat (which means i cannot ride until it arrives) 5-7 days delivery, tomorrow is the 7th day and when i rang she said its only just left the store- Robinsons this time though normally they are good.
 
i think they're generally pretty good, I guess it may depend on what the item is and who's supplying it though? Mind you i normally just go in store can't recall having ordered anything but it is frustrating when things don't turn up! Not as bad as when BA leave forget to put your luggage on a plane but that's a whole other story.....!

I've always found them a bit like that, but they do seem to be worse now than they have been in recent years.

And i always find their hat and body protector fitting a little bit suspect. I used to have to re-fit so many hats at PC camp for kids when the hat was too big.

Definatley, did the same the other week and sales staff were the same, didn't even know the order had gone through til she walked off leaving my card in the machine!
