Hi All,
I am posting to see if there is anyone in the Braintree/Stansted Area that would either like help with their horses in the form of riding and yard help or possible horse share.
I have spent half of my life growing up around horses and really miss not being around them, even the smell of them and their nosy noses, I love it!.
Over the last couple of years a few people have been kind enough to let me come down and get stuck in with them and their horses which has been fantastic (thank you Gail and Wendy) and I have really appreciated it, however I know they were really doing me more of a favour than I was them as they were managing just fine.
Ideally I would like to help someone who is over horses locally, muck in with all the dirty work and do some riding in both a field/school and hacking out either with others or alone as that used to be my favourite ride seeing the country side.
I will be honest about my riding and say that I really am not sure where to class myself, I am defiantly not a beginner, but I dont want to put people off and say I am a novice although I wouldnt class myself as an experienced rider either after the time out of the saddle. I am very keen to learn new things and progress, I had even started playing around with the odd tiny jump .and I mean tiny haha : )
I know what I am doing but a bit rusty and need a little work, I am considering a few more lessons also. I have ridden a fair amount of horses and of lots of different temperaments/breeds, the most memorable was a highly strung TB mare who thought she showed me a thing or to . Yes I did need new underwear after the ride but stayed on and stopped her belting off with me by circling her when she managed to take off.
I know from experience that all horses have their own little personalities and naughty moments and I have always coped with them well and can normally sense it coming, I would rather work with a horse of a cool nature rather than one that tries to make you walk the plank ever five minuets, if that makes sense.
I am 30 years old, I drive and is very sensible and reliable, if you are local and have a couple of horses you would like a hand with both around the yard and exercising please let me know and I will willingly pop over to say hi and have a chat.
Alternatively if you have a horse and want to share the work please let me know.
I really really really hope I dont come across as choosy or long winded, I just think the more information I give and my true capabilities is better than biting off more than I can chew and wasting someones time, plus you can get so attached to horses and would be sad if it didnt work out.
