My daughter is currently riding wonky!!! She is collapsing through the hip and putting more weight into her left stirrup...she needs straightening up!!!

Can anyone please recommend back specialist for riders in the Essex area please as she needs sorting asap!!

Thank you.

I was doing exactly the same and just went to see a normal chiropractor and after one session immediately saw a difference. I had maybe 4-5 sessions I think and saddle now stops slipping and I'm riding much more evenly.

Was the issue for you just in the hips or was it your whole body? My daughter thinks it is an issue with her shoulders too.

It was from a tear in my bum muscle a few years ago (a bad fall) which I did have physio on at the time but then I seem to have unknowingly compensated for it since. So it was a few things but all down one side. So he looked at my spine, hip flexors, neck, legs, feet etc. Amazing how it all links! My hip flexor was particularly tight.

I've had a physio session and done pilates for riders with Louise before, found it really useful. Did a clinic day a few years ago where she looked at riders sitting in a saddle (not on horse) https://www.equi-fit.co.uk/index.php/louise-barrett/

People on here have also highly recommended Andy Thomas but the last set of Essex clinics he did were booked up - I've signed up to the mailing list and will try and get a session when he is back in the area https://www.testt.co.uk/

My instructor has recently recommended courtyard osteo in Maldon. She uses them as she has back problems and really rates them. I need to book in and see them as I’m definitely wonky

Thanks for the replies!

Going to give Courtyard Osteo a ring as Maldon is only about half an hour away. Hopefully they can straighten her out!!
