My thoughts are with friends and family

How many more deaths before BE acknowledge that this is unacceptable. With all the technology we have in the world - surely there must be a way that fences can still look solid but when hit - its the jump that comes down and not the horse.

If there was this many deaths in National Hunt. The rules would have been changed. How many deaths constitute a rule change?

My heart goes out to poor Jo-Annes family along with all those before her. I hope that someone finds the strength to question the powers that be.

As much as I understand we can't keep building fences bigger and therefore are becoming more technical or questioning. However isn't it time that we perhaps ask the questions in the show jumping or dressage rather than on the cross country course.

France and the U.S. have had similar fatal accidents recently...

It's not just BE. Eventing is an olympic sport and these tragic accidents, aside from the terrible loss of some very young riders, could end up really hurting the sport.

It seems there is some thinking going around about it among the "high instances"...Wonder if it will amount to anything
