So I am thinking of taking up Pilates to help my suppleness for eventing and dressage and was wondering if people find this effective? Also would like to know what other people do for fitness for their discipline wether thay are an amateur or pro? Thanks!
 
I have been doing pilates for about 8 weeks and am really pleased with how it's helped! I wish I could go more than once a week! I have found that the exercises based on leg strength are really easy for me (I can even do some positions that the instructor can't manage!!) - she puts it down to the riding. My core strength has definitely improved and I think it has improved my riding position (along with 'The Classical Seat' - see other post).

I want to do something more for general fitness, so am thinking Zumba - any experience of that?
