Rider Insurance

I am (hopefully) getting a loan horse in the near future but before she arrives I would like to sort out my rider insurance. Her insurance covers her and vets etc but wouldn't cover me.

I am near to renewing my BHS gold membership but before I do I would like to know if there are any other options for around the same price that are equal or better quality than the BHS gold membership. So I have turned to the amassed wisdom of the forum for guidance.

Hi

I have rider insurance with Petplan Equine. Their deluxe rider plan covers most things and is quite good value I think. It costs me about 9 pounds a month. I haven't made a claim with them though so can't comment on that.

Just beware that if the horse is on loan to you for more than 4 weeks some rider insurances will not cover you. Check this before pay for anything.
