Rider Insurance?

Hello all, bit of a boring topic!

I really need to get some rider insurance now I am doing it regularly again, I have heard people refer to BHS gold membership etc, is that just insurance or is it membership which happens to include insurance?

Also as I may be getting my own horse sometime, do you insure the horse separately and have your own rider cover or do you get combined insurance?

Accident and liability insurance are a 'perk' of gold membership, there are other benefits as well. When you get your own horse it will be up to you to decide if you wish to take out veterinary insurance, accident and liability are extras that you can add to that or keep the cover from BHS. I pay for vets through insurance but use my bhs cover for the other as it worked out cheaper.

Thank you I think most people seem to find the BHS cheaper, so I will look into getting that for now and see what happens when I have my own
