Rider Massage??

Has anyone had rider massage and seen/felt a difference when back in the saddle? Has your riding improved?

My mare has just been done and the guy recommended that i go and get un-knotted as all her tension was one-sided and im tense one side so ive booked for have a sports massage....hope he can straighten me out Thanks

I used to, only gave up as I moved and it was no longer convenient to get there. Have been thinking recently that I should start going again, I found it helps a lot just with general posture, which transfers to your riding position. I have back issues anyway so that was my main reason for going but really helps get rid of the knots across the shoulders and loosens neck muscles, which in my case seem to get knotted from jumping (although this may just be the way I ride!) . It used to be £35 per half hour when I went, but that was about 18 months ago.
