Has anyone had bowen therapy for themselves?
I have recently discovered I have missaligned hips and shoulders, by about 2+ inches!!! Who has had bowen or who has experienced this?
Im sure it has come on since I broke my pelvis, it is fully healed and has been a while but ive only jiust realised and it is affecting my riding a little due to riding sensitive backed dressage horses.
Anyone had any simmilar experience and what did you do/how was it fixed.

thanks in advance for any answers.
Leah.

I find it very relaxing, but don't believe it actually can help problems like that. My pelvis is also out of alignment (had a nasty fall off my horse on the road) but found a very good sports injury physiotherapist who worked wonders for me.

I'd say so. I went to a chiropractor after the Bowen, but found it do painful I'd be in tears and would feel worse for a few days afterwards. It depends what works for you though I suppose, I do have to say I did enjoy the Bowen though, and so did the horses - we all got 'Bowen-ed' on the same day!!!

Clairew haha bowened! Like a day at the spa for horse and rider... I like it!
But it would seem I do need to go down the more 'general' route so I shall go and see the gp and see what pearls of wisdom they can bestow *rolls eyes*

I have the human form of equine touch which they call VHT can't remember what that stands for its similar to Bowen.
I find it very helpful I go every 2weeks and to a chiropractor if the VHT ladies thinks I need it.
I also have a massage now and then I have loads of problem having broken my back twice my leg and my hip I think you have to try these things and find out what helps you.
