First i've heard of this. How awful. At least it was instant and he wont have suffered. Poor poor daughter.

A woman watched in horror as her horse kicked her father to death.
Rhys Avery, 65, was killed instantly by a fatal blow to the heart when the horse reared back and kicked him.
Gemma Avery, 28, was just feet from him when he fell to the ground.
She said: "He'd just got my four horses out of the stables and into a field when they were frightened by something and one kicked him in the heart.
"He just dropped dead in front of me. He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time."
Emergency crews were unable to revive Mr Avery in the field in Purton, Wilts. He had helped Ms Avery look after her horses for 18 years but now she intends to sell them. An inquest into his death last Saturday was adjourned.
