This is my first post so i hope it makes sense. I am looking for someone to ride my 13hh welsh mare. I wouldn't want any help with the care, just someone to ride her as often as they liked even the odd show (at their expense) if they wished.

I would be looking for a caring small adult 11 stone or under who is capable of riding alone etc and maybe the oppurtunity(sp) to bring on youngster, that has just been backed and learn to drive my pony and trap if they wanted and were capable

What sort of contracts and insurance would i need to cover myself and would it be unreasonable to ask for £30 month to help out with feed, shoes etc

if you look on the BHS website, they have a loan agreement which you can tamper with to make a good share agreement. They would need to take out their own insurance ( I think) to be covered. 30 quid sounds a good deal, I found someone asking 20 quid A DAY and wanting an advanced rider!

I have a wonderful girl that has helped me out with my pony since I originally went away to uni quite some years ago, we did a written contract at the time stating the terms of what was expected and in it I stated that horse was fully insured however I recommended additional rider insurance and it was then left up to her as to whether she did that or not.
I also think £30 is fine too (same as us) X

I had a 13hh mare from 16yo until I was 20 (now 21yo) but she was 22yo herself and I felt something go in her a bit so she's gone to a younger and lighter rider and she's back to her old self. I'm 5ft3 and was 9st at the time (about 9st6 atm due to no riding/exercise)

I'd start riding another pony in a heart beat. I love ponies far more than I enjoy riding horses.

£30 sounds perfectly reasonable to me (I'm looking at finding a share at uni and wouldn't mind paying that). I shouldn't think you'll have a problem finding someone at all.

please say that you live in fife!

Thanks for all suggestions will go on BHS website. I've never had any experience of this and it would solve all my problems if i could find someone to ride but i keep talking myself out of it.

Just feel that i am to heavy for my ponio now i weight 12 stone (trying to lose weight) not that she has shown an problem with carrying me, far from it she will jump 2'9 x country comfortably with no probs.

Sorz pixie I come from cornwall.
