Hi, does anyone know of anyone that would be willing to ride my 16.2hh belgian warmblood for 12 weeks?
I am going away to America to teach horse riding and had made arranges for one of the girls at my yard to ride my horse but it's no longer going to work out as the girl doesn't have enough time.
If anyone knows of anyone please pm me, really want to try and avoid turning him away for 12 weeks!
Thanks

Can you give me some more info what sort of things does he do/are you expecting the rider to do with him and where around Canterbury is he?

i keep him in bridge, just off the A2

hes a showjumper, jumps upto 1.40m at home, I just want someone to keep him fit while im gone so a bit of schooling/jumping and hacking really 1 to 3 days a week

Schooling - very lazy without spurs. with spurs very good and forward. works nicely, snaffle mouth for everything. does get bored very quickly and may put in a buck so needs to be kept entertained eg lots of circles, poles, reinback. also currently learning flying changes.

Jumping - easy to jump but only working over small things atm as his balance needs some work. goes into a fence beautifully, calm and collected but very on forehand after landing so basically jumping the jump then halting.

Hacking - will only be around the block with other horses, does hack on his own but very spooky however with other horses hes a superstar (always someone up the yard to ride with)

Sent you a pm but will post here too so hopefully you see it :)

I'm a student at UKC and am horseless at the mo as have left my beloved eventer behind in the States - so this situation might be a perfect fit! I've worked for and trained with an Olympic eventer and another 4* eventer, as well as two FEI dressage riders, and have worked with all types and temperaments. I'd be happy to forward along my horsey CV if you'd like; will also post this response on your thread :)
Cheers!
Tilly
