Riding a horse with COPD

For the past week my horse has been suffering badly from COPD. She has been wheezing and really struggling to breathe. The vet has been out twice, the first time giving us ventipulmin powders and Duphatrim powders, this didnt have much effect so called her out again the next evening when she injected her with an anti-inflammatory. Since then she has improved alot, although she still has a slight wheeze and a nasty cough and is still on Ventipulmin. I obviously cant ride her at the moment but should I be able to ride her as soon as the wheeze and cough goes away or will I have to leave her for longer? I dont want to start riding her too soon and set her back, or cause her to be uncomfortable.

Mine was like that, had the jab. the next day off and then was taken for a quiet hack and was pretty much back to normal. he was jabbed on the Tuesday and team chased the next weekend, so 10 days later-absolutely fine.... but, my horse got worse without exercise!
Our vet said just one day off and then hacking and then back to normal, and he was absolutely fine. If she is improving then maybe start quietly hacking, just walking/trotting unless she starts wheezing badly...

Do you know what the jab was?

I suspect the jab was a steroid. Exercise is good because it will help the horse get rid of the gunge on its chest.
