My partners mums coloured cob has been out on loan for a week & yesterday i had a text from the girl who had him to say he was greener than she expected & wanted to send him back. Its not a problem & at least shes been honest. Anyway we have another lady who maybe interested in him & she is hoping to come & see him sometime next week, however after exchanging several texts with the girl who has him at present it transpires that she cant actually get him to move & when she can all she has had out of him is walk & cant get anything faster unless hes following another. Now ive ridden this horse, he listens to you & will pop straight into trot when asked & has cantered, admittedly there was another horse there when he did canter, but he was in front. The only explanation i can come up with is hes just found it all to much, going from living in the sticks to a busy yard with an indoor school...which of course hes never been in one in his life. The lady who is coming to see him next week also lives out in the sticks & has her own place to keep him, so im hoping that this might suit him better.....but what if it doesn't? How do we get round this issue? I should add hes 4 this year & was broken last year & has only hacked out.
