ouch but he's luckier than my RI, she was clipped by horses front leg when putting a bucket on the floor, she was in a coma for a few days & given a 50/50 chance of survival!

My sister had her skull fractured by a kick when she was 3 or 4. She was very poorly for a week or so, but the specialist said if she had been any bigger/heavier she wouldnt of survived because of the impact.
She has grown up to be quite normal'ish' and has a tremendous scar on the side of her head.

This happened just up the road from me. I heard that he slipped in a muddy gateway and got caught in a fracas between the other loose horses. As for the air ambulance, that is just policy round here anyway. Horsey accidents = helicopter.
