Riding after knee surgey

ouch, looks like we all have matching scars! I cried when i first saw mine, i have one down the left side of my knee too it's awful just keep puttin creams on it, hope they wil fade!

Jess whats that nxt t 50p, bit o bone?

Riding wise, i'll be gettin on a little arab. lovely and light but does like to jog and prance so i'll find out how my knee is, wish i still had my western saddle!

Just want to ride now, didn't realise how much i'd miss it cos i can't do it, makes me wish i'd rode more when i could.

Nope. Rather worryingly that is the mahoosive bit of cartilage which is now missing from my femur. Hence me joking about the old knee replacement!

Although, actually, candida has made the knee replacement sound ok so there is hope yet :)

just want to say that I think you can choose your surgeon on NHS (isn't there something in the patient's charter about it?) My physio when I did mine the first time (when my GP said 'rest it for a few weeks, it'll be fine') happened to be the physio for a big local football club, and he realised what I'd done immediately ('unhappy triad', classic footie injury apparently even though i did it falling off a naughty horse and landing on my feet). He encouraged me to go to a surgeon who does Premiership Footballers, and I did both times. Very very glad I did, excellent job done. This time (living in a different area) I contacted my local Premiership club's chief physio, and got his recommendations. Really well worth the effort...
