im looking for some boots that I can ride in aswell as muck out and do yard duties in.

i was thinking about the country boots but not sure what ones??..then i was looking at leather boots but do you think they will get ruined mucking out?

i would ideally like them to be warm in winter and cool in summer or ones that arent lined so then i can wear welly warmers...

please help! tah x

I recently bought the new Ariat Iceberg Tall boots and swear by them. They cost around about £90. they are thermal lined though so don't know what they'll be like come summer but as a waterproof, all purpose winter boot they're great!

muckboots about £45...esp the riding ones. about £60..i have the normal ones and ride out in them as well as muck out etc etc and the best thing is i can hose them off

Horse urine ruins leather boots. So although it's easier to have one pair for everything, I try to keep my lovely Ariats for riding only, and wear wellies or old yard boots for doing chores.

i have the ariat short iceberg boots but although they are very very warm and dry I havent tried riding in them as the soles seem very thick..

I've got the Ariat with the laces up side (not sure of name) and I do everything in them cos they are sooooooo comfy!

Mountain Horse rider II boots. Really comfortable, look smart even when dirty and great to ride in.

Mine usually last about 12months but I'm very hard on them and wear them day in, day out, get them wet etc... I'm on my third pair now. I love them.

I got some Mark Todd Kelper Boots at the beginning of winter....cost £72 but they are brilliant. No leaks...keep their shape and mine get some hammering. Great to ride in too.

If your wanting warm winter long boots not made from leather i suggest the mark todd cook tall winter boots. They are really warm and scrub up very well. Only thing is they don't come in a wide calf fitting so if your calves aren't slim they might not fit. I got mine for £57.99 and £6 postage
