Looking at properties in the area but doesn't seem to be any bridle ways in the area around B4333 Cynwyl Elfed to Newcadtle Emlyn road. Is anyone in or near that area and can advise on riding. Sorry if I've posted incorrectly .... I'm new to this

That road is pretty horrendous and very very busy. I don't think there is much riding around that area. There is a group on facebook Carmarthenshire Riders, its run by the bhs bridleways officer and lots of knowledgeable people on there. You looked at the brechfa/New Inn/ Llanllwni area? loads of off road riding there and you can get lost for days.

I'm in that area, (Tanglwst)) the local riders seem to ride round the back lanes, there are a few bridlepaths, same as there are lots of footpaths but none are maintained and all over grown or deliberately blocked by landowners as I have found, the council have said they have no plans or money to sort them out.
If you have the money, buy somewhere with land so you can ride on your own patch.

Thanks Pipkin that's what I thought with that road but noted that someone on here said they were on that road and kept horses hence my curiosity with regards to riding. I've tried to access the Facebook page but it says content not available so assume you need to be local to join it, I thought I had joined it a couple of years back tbh.

Thanks Cremedemonthe, doesn't sound good that the landowners block them purposely. Yes we will be buying with land but you can't beat going out for a good hack so it seems anywhere along that road is a no no or anywhere that requires the use of it in order to access the country lanes .

The B4333 is a very fast dangerous road, the air ambulance was down a couple of months ago attending a serious car accident at the end of the lane that comes down to me.
The knock on effect was the road (B4333)was closed as numerous cars were speeding past my place to get round the closure which is a single country lane with blind bends, makes me wonder what people have in their heads sometimes!

If you're looking at Carmarthenshire you are best off over where I live (brechfa/new inn/llanllwni) there is miles and miles of off road riding.
