Does anyone know anything about riding in Yearsley woods? I have looked online but can't find any specific bridlepaths or information about the routes you can take, although I know you can ride there. Is there a car park? Are the routes well signposted and are the paths well maintained?

Thanks in advance.

I've ridden there once. There is a car park and the main paths are forestry roads, clear and well-maintained. I wasn't sure where I was going so stuck to the main paths. There are routes signed with coloured arrows but I didn't find a map of where these actually went.
There are loads of smaller, less clear tracks and mountain bikers use these a lot. If you use google maps and zoom in there's a big long straight with grass verges both sides called The Avenue which heads towards Ampleforth. I went that way and then there is a track off that which takes you in to a massive field which you can the ride round to get back to where you started on The Avenue.

That won't make much sense without a map!
