So i have finally killed my araits =( and need some new boots. As much as i loved my bromonts i would like something that is a bit more rigid in the leg than they are.

Have around £200 to spend on a pair maybe slightly more. sadly the boots i want are waaaaay too out of my price range.

Need to be smart enough to do competitions in not just general riding

Oooh, snap! And so I will watch this thread with interest :)

I haven't quite killed my bromonts just yet (!) but do also find that I need a new pair of boots that are a bit more rigid in the calf/leg. Particularly for competing ... the calf has gone a bit floppy and looks wrinkly on my leg (think Nora Batty in riding boots LOL!)

My budget is also about the same as yours :)

If it's for dressage, go for Konigs - even the cheapest model (Favorits, about £280 I think) are gorgeous, smart and last forever. Classic Dressage do them as do a few other companies. The only problem with them is that once you get used to riding in them you'll never want to ride in anything else...

I bought myself a pair of broginis De Niro long boots they are laced on the front. I paid £150 for them about 6 mmonths ago. They are the only boot which fit perfect and are really comfy
