I cant find riding boots wide enough for my calves anywhere. I would have to be a size 8 (UK) before they would fit my calves, and im only a size 6. Even the wide ones arent wide enough. Surely im not the only rider with chubby calves!

i know the feeling i have exactly the same problem, i'm a size 5 with chunky monkey calves!! Try going for some with elastic inserts!

What measurement are your calves in inches? I have some long leather boots to sell, size 6, fit calf about 15 1/2 to 16 inches

Only wore them a couple of times

I am size 6 with short wide calves. I treated myself to some Sergio Grasso boots. Their wide fitting was a bit too tight on my one bigger calf and I couldn't bear the thought of paying a load extra to get them made to measure. The saddler at the shop stretched them for me then I got a thinner legged friend to wear them in and now they fit perfectly and make even my fat calves look slim, ish

My sister has one calf fatter than the other and her boot got tight on that leg, even with a zip up back, but we got an elastic insert V shape put in at the top on the inside of that particular boot and now its fine you hardly notice it. Milners Saddlery did it in Liecs. Think it was about £20.

I have short wide calfs, and managed to get some Mark Todd long leather boots from ebay, fit really well and went that expensive, and having only ridden in them 3 times they are comfy
