I havn't got the slimist calves in the world and I've got Ariat Devon Pro boots and Crowne Pro chaps. I think I got the large chaps and they were tight when I first had them (september) but now they are gorgeous and really comfy. They do the chaps in xl too

You could try the Equitector web site - you measure your leg etc & then order boots that fit exactly.

Ive got equitector boots for competions they are nice boots so wort a look, i got mine off ebay brand new direct from factory at half the price!! yay bargain!!

I second mountain horse, they are the only "off the peg" boots that I can wear comfortably. The new Richmond ones are lovely and the elasticated section over the top of the foot, as in a field boot is great for wider feet!

I broke my ankle a while ago and now have one larger than the other. Mountain Horse boots are easy to get on aswell as the zips go right down and I can get them on without placing painful pressure on my ankle bone!

Equitector have elastic each side of the zip so are really comfy even on chunky calves.
The foot sie is not very wide though, so you may want to try a larger size than you have in a shoe if you have wide feet.

I have chunky calves too, but wearing jodh boots/gaitors is really painful for me because the tops of the boots dig into my shins. I have three different styles of Mountain Horse boots and they all fit brilliantly.

You could check out a tack shop near you and ask the owner for help. I have short legs and my calves are quite wide but the owner of a tack shop near me measured my legs and hunted high and low in his catalogues and stockists to find a pair that would fit me! I've now got a great pair of boots that I probably wouldn't have found by myself, so have a look around at tack shops near you
