Two questions

Some people on here have recommended Saxon Equileather boots as a suitable alternative to long leather boots for RC shows but I can't find a stockist, only people that do the lace up paddock boots. Can anyone recommend one?

I'd like some cheap but sturdy short boots for everyday. What do people reckon is best? I've been wearing my old Doc Martens for years but they have finally given up. I'm tempted to get another pair but wandered if something else might do the job better.

Thanks

Ride Away and Derby House do the saxon ones.
I wear loveson genie paddock boots around the yard, they're lovely, really comfy and keep your feet nice and warm in the winter too.

Short boots that are sturdy - Ariat all the way - if you want to spend that sort of money. You've got the choice of the hertiage ones at £60 odd or the devon pros at £150 odd. Only thing I can say is that if you've got wide feet, the heritage ones will be quite uncomforatble (found this as borrowed my mate's ones - I've got the devon pros and although they were exactly the same size (7) - couldn't get hers on my feet)

But they go for cheaper on ebay I believe

I found the Saxons good but too tight, even in a wide and they have no give in them so don't stretch like leather boots, both my friends zips went on them too...

For short boots I like the Loveson Allpro paddock boot - lasts years and well priced at £40 ish....

Rode in Doc Martins for years too - great boots...!
