I'm on the hunt for a pair of riding/yard boots. I have a pair of tredsteps which are great for schooling in, but out hacking I'm often getting off to do tricky gates and my boots are a) not up to puddles and b) in danger of getting wrecked. Ideally I'd also like to be able to walk the dog through the fields without faffing about changing my shoes. I'm 5'6" with slim legs and a size 5/6 shoe.
So far I've got my eye on:
Shires Moretta Ventura
Ariat Langdale
Dublin Pinnacle
I hear Ariat Bromonts are great, but out of my price range! There seems to be pretty low stock of all winter boots, probably because of the neverending rain.
Has anyone got experience of any of these? Is there such a thing as a boot that's ok for the yard AND nice to ride in??
