Thinking of organizing for my friend, who recently started riding, to go to a demo/clinic/lesson thing as a christmas present?

(she's agreeing)

She doesn't have her own horse, but has had a fair few lessons now. Just wondering if anyone can suggest something that might benefit her? I'd probably go too

Preferably something within the next few months, could be anything really! (jumping, flatwork, natural horsemanship, whatever, she's not fussed!) Not too bothered about travelling...

Thanks!

Talland prob a bit too far for you but we have given lesson vouchers as presents before and enjoyed a few nice stays...and pub lunches... in the Cotswolds! There must be an equivalent your way?

hi - what about an equicision clinic.

The first session is done off horse and using swiss balls, slide boards and band work to help improve your position and create more swing through the hips.

This would be something that would suit both of you - your friend as it would help to establish a correct position and also give her some homework to continue to strengthen her body and you, as a more experienced rider, would be able to take away info about any crookedness and how to really swing through and be able to absorb the horses movement.

I have found these clinics have really helped to develop my riding - see my post "wow, wow, wow and WOW" !!

If you then wanted to go further with the clinics it is also possible to do an on the horse session. I found that my horses way of going changed a phenomenal amount.

The cost of the on the floor clinic is £40 per person. The session would last 2 hours and there would be between 4 and 6 in a group.

The ridden sessions cost £40 per 45 minute private session - you bring your own horse.

The next clinics nearest to you would be on Friday 11, sat 12 and Sun 13 Dec in Shropshire.

I really cannot rate the equicision guys high enough and wish everyone had access to the clinics as it makes such an improvement.
