Riding club champs times/shavings

Why can't british riding club get things right.
We have qualified for open show jumping and open dresssage on " different horses. They have given us 9.14 SJ and 9.45 dressage. goodness knows how they think I can change horses and warm up in that time.
Then they supply straw which my horses will cough on so we will have to buy shavings on top. The phone number they give you on the info pack is the man from last year, he has not heard from them this year and he is away this week end and can't supply them.
I am sorry but it is not rocket science to organise. I will go out and buy some tomorrow and fit them in the lorry but people with trailers will have a problem!!!!!!!!!!

ummmmmm a few words come to mind but I wont type them!!! I am thinking a few phone calls to the "powers that be" may be in order!! How do they expect you to do these times??!! Maybe they had had a few glasses of wine whilst doing the list!! tehe!!!

Good luck anyway and I expect a full report please!!
 
Oh how PANTS is that!!! Having just done a competition with 3 horses doing novice, elem and Gp plus other classes i know its not easy but if an organiser can be kind enough to accomadate that then surely The Riding Clubs could sort you out!!
As for the stable bedding issue , words fail me. This is a national final for goodness sake.
I hope this does not spoil anything for you as you have worked so hard and so deserve to go and enjoy.
Well done by the way for the AM Champs sounds like you had a fab time!!

With regard to your times being so close the data base obviously hasn't recognised that you are the same person (if you see what I mean). It's fairly simple to resolve though.........just let the office know when you declare & they'll arrange for you to slot in at a later time for your first round of showjumping.

As for the shavings, it does say on the booking form that competitors may bring shavings with them.......it doesn't say that a supply will be available to purchase on site, although I know that in the past the stable managers at both Lincoln & Offchurch have got in a few bales as a courtesy in response to requests from one or two competitors.

I hope that in spite of all these trials & tribulations you still manage to have a sucessful & enjoyable weekend at Lincoln.
 
Our info has a phone number on for stable manager and a phone number for shavings, it was this man we phoned and he was very nice but said he has not been asked to provide them this year and will be away. It is difficult to get 6 bales into the lorry but if we had a trailer it would be impossible. A lot of competitors use shavings now so it would have been nice not to have to bring them
 
Thank you Partoow, the music worked really well and the international indoor was fantastic.He spooked at the table but the music was great. In the novice she got a bit carried away and made 2 mistakes, just enjoyed him starting to lengthen and went to wrong markers so threw away a few marks but as usual he tried really hard.Enjoy Wales wish we could be there but at Gatcombe Friday and then gliding on the Saturday.A very busy week and then we are having a short break
 
Sorry to butt in, but does that mean if our horses are OK on straw we can just collect that there? Realise that info is probably on the pack we were sent but unfortunately only recieved that last week and the girl who has it all has been called away on business to Cairo for 3 days!
 
last year straw was outside stable, what we did was put in horse first to eat off grass, then once that job done put in straw

If you use shaving you have to remove ALL shaving from stable on your departure, if not you can get fined

I think 2yrs ago there was someone selling Easibed bales from the back of their lorry! OK, you can't rely on them being there again but a good idea if you fancy flogging some to help pay for your weekend!
