Have only just realised the dressage i've entered for tomorrow is being run under BHS riding club rules NOT BD. Is there any difference? Cos i have sneaking suspicion that callers aren't allowed at RC and am not sure about whips/ spurs either...

Please can anyone tell me if i'm just having a random last minute panic (haven't been out for nearly a year) or if i need to spend tonight learning the tests?

If you have the last issue of "Rider" magazine (the RC quarterly mag), there was a handy summary on what tack etc could be used for all the different competitions. Very unfortunately I recycled mine, so can't look it up for you.

I have always had a caller, sometimes wear spurs and usually have a whip, so dont think there is much difference really, apart from the hat, as says Mrs T. Have a good day!!

I have found that Rider mag, callers are allowed at area level only, spurs are allowed but rowel not to exceed 1cm (!) All the rest looks the same. Good luck!

Thank you all loads, they did mention the hat specifically in the rules in the schedule, but i must remember to take the right one!
My spurs are only teeny ones and i'm not even sure i'll wear them, but they are no-where near 1" rowels, so that and the most important bit about callers being allowed is great, thanks again for everyones help.

only blunt rowels on spurs, whips no longer than 110cm (including the tassle bit at the end), callers are permitted, hats must be up to current safety standard with harness.
