Riding Clubs - teams

I have been on nightmare committees (Pony Club was the worst!!) but our riding club is very small and very friendly. Our meetings mostly consist of eating cake. We are always very excited if we get a new member or two.

I hope you survive your year and find another club, it is meant to be fun

Your club sounds nice :smile3: I think part of the problem is they're insanely competitive. I think I'll have a nose around for a more relaxed club for next year.

Off to my first RC AGM soon, never been much involved before but thinking of dipping my toe in. On the comp side, not the committee though, can't commit to being on a committee . Hopefully it will be more cake than cattiness !

And funds! It's expensive to send a team (unless the individuals pay the affiliation fee which our club pays for us) so we have to think it's worth it

We did have a lot of members and did a lot of fundraising to pay the prelim fees for it. But in the end it did become a bit too expensive, although to be honest some members of the committee became pretty horrendous and I quit anyway! I'm in a different riding club now lol.
