Are you a member of a riding club? If so have you found it a benefit to you in any way?
I am currently thinking of joining a riding club in my area which i have just found out about.

I’m a member of two riding clubs. I get loads out of them, one does the best Summer Camp ever, which I have been too two years in a row. The other does lots of clinics and shows (and I ride for their jumping team). So I say go for it, if they are anything like my riding clubs they will be friendly, welcoming and you will have fun.

Go for it. I have recently joined a RC having been a PC member for years. I'm looking forward to camp and lots of clinics with good instructors. I have always been to their comps which means I get a discount on entry fees and possibly be on some teams in years to come. Just out of interest which club were you thinking of joining?

It's the Swindon and District Riding Club i have been looking at, only found out about it today. They do a summer camp

Loved the pics of your summer camp, do you know the date yet for the 2010 camp?

MonkeyBum which RC have you joined?

I'm a member and love it. Lots of rallies, as many as I can afford to go to! They also do a summer camp which I hope to go on this year, and I've been to a number of their shows.

I'm the treasurer of our riding club adn we have an annual dressage league feb to nov. We have 4 SJ shows per year and a showing show. We also subsidise lessons, top instrutors that are normally £30-£45 per hour and we provide the lessons for £10. We also pay team competition entries. We also have quizes adn a ceilidh throughout the year, its a good club to be a member of

I am a member of a local unnafilliated RC and I say join, it is so much fun. We do have comps, but also have social rides, sponsored rides, fun days and social evenings. You get out of it what you put in. I would make a plea that anyone who joins also agrees to help out as otherwise it is always the same small group of people who do all the moving of equipment etc.

I have made good friends and have people who help me out if I need it and who I help if they need.

Mum's RC secretary, so I get a lot out of RC stuff, for me its a massive ego boost because adults are so slow in j/os

Nah, its cheap, easy to go to and actually a high standard especially in dressage (for ours).
