Well my daughter has been spending a lot of time with our little 3 year old Arab and today she finally rode her. Little Jill was perfect, has great steering and is generally a very contented little pony happy to be ridden and having time spent with her. I think she should make a super little kids riding pony in a couple of years.

What do you think? I know daughter is too big for her......but someone has to back Little Jill and it can't be me, LOL!!

Thanks for your comments.....maybe it is just the big ski-suit which makes her look big to me, LOL!!

Little Jill is just lapping up all this interest in her and I am totally blown away at her already knowing what squeezing on means and she has turning down to a tee. She's a really smart little pony though but thankfully she tends to put her energies into figuring out things which are complementary to humans rather than being naughty.

Meg has been neck-reining her and she is taking to it like a duck to water. Thank goodness for Megan though as I was in a dilemma as to backing her - I think my feet would touch the ground if I went on her!

Oh she's lovely. I really like her. Wasn't she just a foal or a yearling when you had her? Can't believe she's old enough to back now.

Megan looks lovely on her too.

I can't even remember how long I have had her now......it's all a bit of a blur sometimes....so many horses and all.

Okay I think I got her in the Summer of 2005 (I've had her a while haven't I?) - I know she was a yearling when I got her, 18 months. Time flies doesn't it.

Yes it does. I do remember her coming to you though and I just cannot believe it's time for her to start her work under saddle! Scary!

Didn't you almost sell her when you sold the PMU mare?

I swapped her for the PMU mare - good deal if you ask me, LOL!! Mind you the mare is doing just fine and is about to drop her first foal with owner.

aww looks great!

is that a treeless saddle she has on there? only asking as i recognise the stirrups from one my friend has lol.

Oh that's a lovely update Tia. I knew she had something to do with the PMU mare, but couldn't remember the whole details.

Bless her, she'll get to keep that foal at foot till weaning too I hope! Nice story for her too.

Oh the PMU mare will always have her foal around I would think. The farm she has gone to hardly ever gets rid of their horses LOL!! Well except to me

Look how much she has changed colour though!

We don't have an English saddle small enough for her, so she is in a western saddle in that piccy.
