Am I just getting mixed up with something else or have I read somewhere about tests you can get done on your riding hat after a fall to see if it is damaged?

I really like my hat - it fits perfectly and so I don't want to have to throw it out, but obviously it is the sensible thing to do after my fall (bounced across field on my head) but I think I've read somewhere about sending them away to see if they have been damaged.

Any info would be great, thanks x

I had not a too bad fall, and kept my hat, then I had another shortly after (went skydiving and landed on the front of my head!)

The top section of my hat split off, and slid down and hit me onthe nose!!

I've still got a bit of a boney little lump on my nose!

I'd throw mine away straight away now.
