What do you use / recommend / NOT recommend?

I lost my favourite ancient jocket skull last year when my horse kindly kicked it round the stable when I stupidly left it in there with him. Ive been using my mums hat to school in at home since which is one of those cheapo ventilated things. It's ok and I guess keeps my head cool! But I should probably get my own which fits right!

I want MINIMAL. I HATE these big mushroom hats (for competing, I have a J3 and GPA which I think are the most minimal ones possible!). I would like some form of ventilation but maybe not as much as my mums one which is like ones endurance people wear. Ideally a jockey skull but *might* consider a fixed peak but not a velvet one as it would look crap after being in my grubby yard! And not much ££ simply because I already have 3 competition hats so dont need to fork out a bomb on another. Dont want JTE's, they dont fit my head right!

Failing that, does ANYONE know if anybody sells the old version anymore (ie. not PAS / BSEN)? I love the old hats

I have a showjumper 2000, which isnt too bad, as I am also a great hater of those mushroom hats, but do mostly hack out in my old jockey skull, which has a chin strap

Not ventilated but I have just bought a champion junior jockey skull for £40. Not sure why they market it as a junior hat as it fits me and there were several hats bigger than what I wanted.

Champion do a Ventair skull hat, I have the fixed peak SJ version but tried on the skull too and it was lovely.

I second that, I have one and it fits really well. Not bulky at all.

I bought a Harry Hall Elite Plus for best and found it so comfy I've ditched my everyday hat, which was too big anyway, and got another HH hat. Very secure, neat hat.
