After getting dumped head first at the weekend I now need a new skull cap, anyone got any recommedations? I had a Charles Owen kids one before as I have a small head!!!!
I have the champion kids one, despite my massive big head, the size doesn't matter, it is the little cartoon and that fact there is no VAT that makes the difference.
DH has a kids hat (can't remember the brand) and it came in a bag with pink my little ponies on it -
Can anyone explain to me what difference there is between a kids'/junior hat or otherwise? (sorry to hijack thread ) when shopping on ebay, I see junior hats and wonder whether to bother or not, because the sizes are all the same. I did try on a junior hat recently - it seemed enormously high - felt like I'd have difficulties getting under a height restriction barrier with it on top of my bonce!!
I was wondering as well tbh. I have always got kids ones coz they're cheaper. I presumed that safety would defo not be compromised as they are for kids. I always like the cartoons as well.
The difference is that you don't pay VAT if they are for children but you do if they are for adults. Other than that no practical difference.
Legally to avoid VAT they have to do something to mark the hats out as "KIDS" but they also have to come up to the same safety standard.
Often they are designed to be "budget" so they may have a nylon harness rather than a leather one on the adults version or something but there is no inherent difference just because they are for kids. They normally either put cartoons on the inside or supply them with a cartoon pony carry case or something. Just try them on and see how they fit, no reason not to buy a kids hat if you like it. Mine is a kids and a size 4!!!
